Ingredients
  

Protein:

  • 1 lb ground turkey

Seasonings:

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme you have dried thyme!

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Cooking Fat:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and cook until softened (3–5 minutes).

  • Add the ground turkey, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned and cooked through (7–10 minutes).
  • Season with thyme, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • If using tomato paste, stir it in and cook for 1–2 minutes. Deglaze the pan with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice if desired.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
